Join Our Dynamic Team as an GL Accountant in Prague!
The Fixed Asset Accountant role is responsible for recording fixed asset movements in an orderly manner. The role ensures accurate capitalization, depreciation, reporting, and reconciliation of fixed assets in accordance with company policies, IFRS, and local regulatory requirements.

Do you fit?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in General Ledger and/or Fixed Assets accounting is an advantage.
Understanding of Fixed Asset accounting principles, including capitalization, depreciation, asset disposals, and knowledge of CZ GAAP.
Ability to interpret accounting policies and apply them consistently in day-to-day operations.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience with SAP (or a similar ERP system); Advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to cooperate across Finance and business teams.
Professional working proficiency in Czech (required) and English
What you'll own
Responsible for the end-to-end fixed asset accounting process, which includes performing asset capitalization, transfers, technical improvements, depreciation, and disposals.
Maintain accuracy and completeness of the fixed asset register through regular reviews, balance reconciliation, and internal control reporting.
Cooperate with cross-functional stakeholders from the areas of Commercial Finance, Tax, Manufacturing, Procurement, or Logistics to resolve issues related to the accounting treatment and capitalization of both tangible and intangible fixed assets.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to fixed assets, including the preparation of manual journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare fixed asset reporting for statutory, tax, group consolidation, and internal audit purposes. Ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Perform internal controls. Support internal and external audit activities.
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of fixed asset accounting processes.
